Trinnex Partnership Provides One-Stop-Shop for Lead and Copper Rule Compliance

May 24, 2022

MANCHESTER, NH—Trinnex® introduces a new partnership with SimpleLab, Inc., the largest digital marketplace for North America’s leading water quality testing labs. The Trinnex and SimpleLab collaboration provides clients software, water sampling, and associated consulting services for full Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) compliance.

By 2024, water utilities across the United States must submit a service line inventory, identifying and verifying the type of material used for both the public and private side of each lateral. The LCRR presents a daunting challenge for most communities as lead was commonly used for laterals before the material was banned in the late 1980s, but underground pipes were allowed to remain untouched. Service lines that remain under the "unknown" status or with confirmed lead must then conduct water sampling.

Combining digital solutions and testing programs

Trinnex provides clients with leadCAST®, an end-to-end cloud-based technology platform for managing simple LCRR compliance through mandatory dashboarding or full lead service line replacement programs at every stage. LeadCAST integrates GIS information, field-collected data, construction and program management information, water sampling information, and supplementary databases into a single data management environment.

Trinnex President, Amy Corriveau, recognize show this collaborative opportunity with SimpleLab complements Trinnex offering sand provides a one-stop-shop for managing service line programs from start to finish: “leadCAST is focused on putting critical information into the hands of decision makers. The SimpleLab partnership expands that offering to water sampling and analysis, so our clients can now access timely and integrated water quality information to streamline their entire LCRR compliance program.”

With the digital lab infrastructure provided by SimpleLab, Trinnex clients can see into the future of water quality sampling and lab testing through one automated system with instantaneous lab pricing, test kit drop-shipping, tracking and results management with secure reporting. John Pujol, SimpleLab CEO, sees this as another major step in the digital water transformation: “As compliance costs rise for utilities and communities, Trinnex will use our new test kit platform to build and maintain consumer confidence in local water quality.”
