Salem, VA uses leadCAST to combine their meter inventory, customer accounts, parcels, and service lines into a single inventory. The inventory makes use of all tabular sources (CSVs and spreadsheets) with existing GIS layers to review all data in one interface. Machine learning also helped Salem to predict and categorize service lines with unknown materials into those with the least or most likelihood of lead with a 95% confidence interval. The Salem team now has easy access to their service line data and can share this with community stakeholders in a public dashboard. Salem can stay one step ahead of the LCRR deadline and continue to provide the utmost level of customer satisfaction.
